Our dedicated workplace health and safety officer is responsible for developing and delivering our OH&S policies. Part of this involves holding regular training sessions with all employees to ensure that the workplace is safe and staff wellbeing is maintained.

Occupational Health & Safety Policy

Crown Engineering is totally committed to protecting the health and safety of the environment, local community and all persons in the workplace including employees, contractors and other visitors.

Crown Engineering employees, contractors and visitors have a duty of care including; the responsibility to work safely, to take reasonable care for their own health and safety, and to consider the health and safety of the environment and other people who may be affected by their actions.

Crown Engineering will take reasonable and practical steps to improve site safety conditions and will strive to uphold its core values of safety, knowledge, integrity and leadership to achieve its goal of Zero Harm.

• Providing safe systems of work, safe plant and equipment for use.
• Ensuring all managers remain directly responsible and accountable for the health, safety and welfare of the environment, employees, contractors and visitors under their direct control and to providing adequate resources to assist managers in this cause.
• Maintaining relevant policies, procedures, systems, information, training and organisational structures to support and communicate effective health and safety practices throughout the organization.
• Implementing a risk and hazard management system which is relevant and suitable for the companies risk exposure as well as identify, promote and strive to continuously improve health and safety performance.
• Establishing clear targets and objectives on an annual basis to continuously improve health and safety in the workplace.
• Maintaining a positive safety culture through encouraging active participation, consultation and cooperation of all staff, employees, contractors and visitors in promoting and developing measures to improve health and safety at work.
• Actively responding to and investigating all incidents, and ensuring injured employees are returned to suitable work at the earliest possible opportunity through equitable claims management and rehabilitation practices.

This policy is an integral part of Crown Engineering’s management plan. These goals can only be achieved through the consultation with and cooperation by all.
